Koly's life

Koly discovers that her husband is nothing more than a sick child whose parents wanted Koly only for her dower. Koly’s situation describes the predicament of many Hindu women, who have no families or station in life. Hence, Koly is likened to a homeless bird. This is a story of hope. Fo that reason, it has a happy-ending. The book Homeless Bird is one of the best books I've read in my entire life! It's really a good job of describing what it would be like to be a widow in India!
